How to add data to Education Hub
Welcome to Education Hub! This is where you can organize all your learning goals, courses, and educational milestones. Let's start by adding your current studies or interests. Click 'Add New' to begin entering information about your courses, schools, or subjects you're exploring. Kickstart your journey to knowledge right here.
1. Begin personalizing your education profile . Click ‘Add formal education’ if you want to enter information about formal schooling such as high school, college, or university degrees. This might include details like the name of the institution, the degree you pursued, the field of study, and the dates you attended.
Select ‘Add courses’ if you wish to list individual courses or informal education experiences like online courses, workshops, or seminars you have participated in. For each course, you might need to provide the course title, the provider, the completion date, and any certification you received.
2. In this step, you can provide details about your educational background. Please proceed as follows:
Type: use the drop-down menu to select the type of education (e.g., high school, undergraduate, postgraduate).
School: enter the name of the educational institution you attended.
Degree: if applicable, select the degree you obtained from the drop-down menu.
Field of Study: choose or type in the field of study you pursued.
Once all fields are completed, click on the ‘Next’ button to continue.
3. Click on 'Select date' under 'Date from' to choose when you started this educational experience. Click on 'Select date' under 'Date to (or expected)' to indicate when you completed or expect to complete this phase of your education.
If you're still studying there, tick the box next to 'I am currently studying here'
If you've already graduated, check the 'Graduated' box.
After you've entered these details, click the green ‘Next’ button to move forward. This helps create a clear and organized overview of your educational journey
4. To add your educational institution's photo to your profile: click 'Upload a file' or drag and drop your image into the designated area. Ensure your image is a JPG, JPEG, or PNG and under 15 MB in size. Once the image uploads, click 'Next' to continue setting up your Education Hub.
This will add a personal touch to your educational profile on the platform.
5. Provide your top hard and soft skills. In the ‘Add skill’ text box, type a skill for which you are proficient. To add the skill to your list, click the plus (+) icon next to the text box. Your chosen skills will appear below the text box as tags with an ‘x' to remove them if needed. Repeat the process to add multiple skills to showcase a range of your capabilities. Once you've added all your top skills, click the 'Next’ button at the bottom to proceed.
Remember to include a diverse set of skills that accurately reflect your expertise and what you can bring to potential opportunities.
6. You can type all the extracurricular activities, clubs, societies, or groups you participated in during your education in the 'Provide your activities and societies' field. For example, you can enter "Volleyball, Alpha Omega.". After entering the information, click on the 'Next' button to continue with the setup of your Education Hub. This step allows you to showcase your involvement in activities beyond academics, highlighting a well-rounded educational experience.
7. Select or create the name of your educational institution. Click on ‘Next’ to proceed.
8. If your school or training center is part of your ‘Network’. Select or add your education institution here to keep it in your contacts.
9. All done: When you've added everything you want to, click 'View my Hub' to finish and see your profile.
